Dr. Milind Pande has over 30 years of experience in education, research, and innovation, specializing in Wireless Technologies, Technology Transfer, and Business Management. A strong advocate of innovation and entrepreneurship, he has authored 100+ research publications, holds 11 international and 6 national patents, and has completed 20+ international visits. He received the Industrial Research Scientist Award (2021) from VASVIK in Information and Communication Technology, with research interests spanning Technology Transfer, M-Education, M-Agriculture, M-Health, Smart Sensing Networks, and ICT Innovations.
He has contributed significantly to national and international initiatives, including the Robocon event in India since 2005, and has initiated programs such as the Smart India Hackathon and R.I.D.E. He served as National Convenor of the G20 Interfaith Summit and contributed to the UNESCO Chair Sant Shri Dnyaneshwara & Sant Shri Tukarama Endowment Lecture Series. Dr. Pande played a key role in establishing the MIT Technology Business Incubator (MIT-TBI) at MIT World Peace University, Pune, mentored 20+ Ph.D. scholars, received a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the Ministry of HRD, contributed to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s PURA project, authored leading books in mobile communications, and serves on the Telecom Advisory Committee (TAC), BSNL Pune, continuing his mission to advance Indian higher education through innovation.
Dr. Milind Pande has over 30 years of experience in academia, contributing significantly to education, technology, and innovation. He currently serves as the Pro Vice-Chancellor at MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune. He completed his BE in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering, followed by MPM, MBA, and ME, and earned two PhDs in International Trade and Wireless Technology.
In 2005, he played a key role in introducing Robocon in India and has contributed to projects in technology transfer, mobile education, ICT, agriculture, health, and education, including the H2E2 Wireless Sensor Network for Precision Agriculture. He served as Project Director of MIT School of Telecom Management (MITSOT) from 2008 to 2019, helping it achieve Top 50 B-school ranking (NIRF), and played a vital role in establishing the MIT Technology Business Incubator (MIT-TBI).
Dr. Pande’s expertise includes Technology Transfer, M-Education, M-Agriculture, M-Health, and Smart Sensing Networks. He received the VASVIK Industrial Research Scientist Award (2021), co-authored “Next Generation Mobile Communications”, published 70+ research papers, and holds 10 patents. He has served on the Telecom Advisory Council (TAC) and UGC Expert Committee, collaborated internationally, initiated programs like Smart India Hackathon and RIDE Conclave, and served as Brand Ambassador for Digital India.
He has received several prestigious awards and continues to guide Ph.D. scholars and advance technology-driven education, focusing on rural development and innovation-led growth.
